Technical Assistant

On behalf of our client, Nordic Solar Management A/S, we are looking for a Technical Assistant to join the operational team. Reporting directly to the Technical Manager, you will support the team in regard to the handling of operational tasks.

 

Nordic Solar Management A/S (NSM) is the asset manager for the solar energy investment companies Nordic Solar Energy A/S and Nordic Solar Global A/S. NSM manages both the investment process, capital raising, technical operations management and ongoing administration of the two companies. The employment will be with NSM, located in Hellerup, that today consists of twelve employees. The addition of further employees is expected in the coming year.

 

Nordic Solar Energy A/S (NSE) was established in 2010 and is an investment company for private and professional investors. NSE invests in operational solar farms within EU and UK. NSE has an annual turn-over of app. 200 DKKm and a balance sheet at about 1.5bn DKK. It is expected that the activities of NSE will be doubled within the next two years. The overall aim is to create an investment company which can either be listed on the stock exchange or sold to an institutional investor after 2020.

 

Nordic Solar Global A/S was established in 2018, and operates as NSE, but with an investment policy allowing for investment in solar farms in the construction phase and solar farms within the OECD area. Focus is however initially on the EU.

NSM’s operational team consist of a Technical Manager, and all operations are outsourced to local operators in the eight EU countries where they manage operations. NSM is in search of an assistant to the Technical Manager, to assist in the handling of operational tasks. The ideal person is a newly graduated candidate with a strong interest in the solar energy industry.

 

Tasks to be handled together with the Technical Manager:

  • Coordination of day-to-day operations of the solar parks
  • Analyzing big data and summarizing them
  • Creation of reports
  • Follow up on operation and maintenance suppliers
  • Inspection of solar parks
  • Handling of security and insurance issues on solar parks
  • Technical due diligence during acquisition and operation of solar parks
  • Administrative tasks related to the management of the solar parks

 

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical-, Energy-, Solar/Renewable Energy and Management Engineering. (Degrees such as mathematics and IT might also be considered).
  • Computer literacy (MS Excel and Word in particular)
  • Excellent analytical and time management skills
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English is essential. The following languages will be considered a plus: Danish, Polish, French, Portuguese, Dutch.
  • Previous experience in the solar energy industry considered an advantage, but not a requirement
