Nordic Solar is looking for a systematic and communicative Senior Commercial Asset Manager, who will be responsible for commercial related matters within the operational portfolio. The position holds a unique opportunity to become part of a successful company focusing on solar energy.
Nordic Solar has undergone remarkable progressive growth. Hence, the Operational Department needs to expand the team with an experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Asset Manager. In relation to this, Nordic Solar wants to consistently focus on commercial operational excellence to keep the company within a professional light.
Your main responsibilities as Senior Commercial Asset Manager are:
- Coordinating and facilitation of organizational activities within PPA, insurance and other commercial related matters, within the operational portfolio.
- All commercial related aspects and dimensions, within the operational portfolio
- Supporting colleagues across the organization, in the shared interest of sustaining flexibility and high motivation toward healthy growth
In relation to the areas of responsibility mentioned above, you systemize and manage sufficient PPA and GoO’s overview, and you secure reporting obligations within any PPA and/or GoO, together with the Operational Asset Management team. You also participate in PPA and GoO development and negotiations with the Investment team.
Furthermore, you facilitate and manage alignment meetings with external consulting and/or brokers towards transparent communication and expectation clarifications. Once the project is operational, you develop and present any business case, indicating optimization possibilities towards investment decisions and optimizations. Furthermore, you record and track energy tariff and price development, historically, present, and potentially toward future expectations.
You manage any commercial-related risks within the trading business and carry out OPEX budget management on designated projects. Moreover, you supply contractor performance statistics based on historical data and evaluations towards future negotiations of new contracts, and you collect trading data and lessons learned to report recommendations internally.
In the position, you will have ongoing contact with different stakeholders, and you can expect to have around 20 days of travel activity per year, where you visit the respective projects.
Curious and motivated candidate with an analytical mindset
You hold a commercial and financial background, such as Cand.merc. or Cand.merc.jur, and you have 5 years of experience from a similar role where you worked with the operation, controlling, asset management, contracts, insurance, claims, and guarantees. Additionally, you have analytical and financial competencies, within energy trading, PPA management, and commercial business in general. It is considered an asset if you have experience working with data analysis tools such as PowerBI.

On a personal level, you have a genuine interest and passion for analysis and finance and show a high level of motivation and a systematic approach to your tasks. Moreover, you establish and maintain stakeholder relations, making others feel at ease.
You are agile in your way of thinking and are good at finding solutions when problems occur. Additionally, it is a requirement that you possess good communication and conflict management skills. You will become part of a dynamic and innovative team and must therefore be curious and motivated by organizational development, seeing the potential of growing together. Finally, you are willing to contribute to the team’s atmosphere with a friendly approach and show an interest in joining the team’s activities outside of work.
